IU among final 5 for 2016 forward Miles Bridges

A month after Miles Bridges revealed his top eight schools, Indiana has made the next round of cuts for the five-star forward.

Bridges told ESPN on Monday that IU, Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and North Carolina are all receiving strong consideration heading into his senior season. In a story by Jeff Goodman, Bridges announced plans to take official visits in the fall and make his final decision by December.

“Tom Crean always gives me feedback when he sees me play,” Bridges told ESPN. “I like their staff and that school is all about basketball.”

Bridges, a 6-foot-6, 218-pound prospect, already has one connection to Bloomington. He played alongside incoming IU freshman Thomas Bryant last season at Huntington (W.V.) Prep, averaging 15.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.8 blocks per game as a junior.

ESPN ranks Bridges at No. 7 on its list of top 60 players, while 247 slots him at No. 14 in his class and Scout has him at No. 24.
