IU soccer earns 2nd seed for B1G tourney

The Indiana men’s soccer team closed out the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Michigan State on Wednesday, and by the time all the results were in, the Hoosiers finished second in the Big Ten.

As a result, IU (11-4-2, 4-3-1 B1G) will host seventh-seeded Wisconsin (5-10-3, 2-3-3) on Sunday at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Indiana defeated Wisconsin, 1-0, last Saturday at Armstrong Stadium.

The Hoosiers ended the regular season with 13 points, just three points behind Ohio State, thanks to a four-game winning streak and 8-1-1 record in the team’s last 10 matches.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed from Nov. 13 and 15. Here’s the full bracket.
