  1. First of all, as mentioned by coach Moren and Tyra Buss in the post game news conference, the crowd was great this afternoon especially midway through the 4th quarter and the overtime. Very loud and really inspiring the defense during those periods of time. This was a gritty win considering we were down 9 points with a little over 5 minutes to go. The defense stepped up and the team continued driving the ball to the basket drawing fouls. Some posters on this website criticize our shooting so many free throws in our games but, this is all by design. Our ability to continue to drive the ball to the basket continues to draw fouls and give us the advantage that we are getting at the free throw line. Our defense in the 4th quarter and the over time allowed us to block multiple shots in and around the basket. Cahill had 4 blocks and Anderson and Royster had 2 a piece. In our last 3 games Cahill has scored 43 points and grabbed 30 rebounds giving us the type of consistency that we need. Royster and Anderson were both very big in this game contributing mightily to this win. Towner although only scoring 7 points undoubtedly played her best game yet! Her defense and ball handling and free throw shooting in the over time was crucial to the win. All in all it was a great team win. We now head to Ohio St. which will be a real tough task. Go Hoosiers!!

  2. Little to add to Mike C’s excellent analysis above, except that I have never been more proud of this team than I was today !
Especially proud of Jen Anderson and Thyshee Towner, who had the best games of their careers, I believe.
