Ferrell a finalist for Wooden Award #iubb

Yogi Ferrell is a finalist for one of college basketball’s most prestigious awards.

The John R. Wooden Award National Advisory Board announced its 2016 national ballot on Saturday and Ferrell made the cut. Ferrell, who’s averaging 17.1 points, 5.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game, is one of four Big Ten players on the ballot. He joins Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine, Iowa’s Jarrod Uthoff and Maryland’s Melo Trimble.

The Wooden Award, which is presented annually to the most outstanding player in the nation, will be presented during ESPN’s College Basketball Awards Show on Friday, April 8.
