Ferrell to participate in State Farm College 3-point Championships

Yogi Ferrell will have one more opportunity to represent Indiana on the basketball court.

The senior point guard will participate in the 3-point contest during Thursday’s 28th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-point Championships at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas. The event will air live on ESPN at 9 p.m.

Ferrell shot 42 percent (79-for-188) from beyond the arc this season, good for 10th in the Big Ten. For his career, Ferrell made 40 percent of his 3-point attempts and his 272 3-pointers are the second-most by an IU player. A.J. Guyton holds the school record with 283.

Ferrell also finished his college career by making at least one 3-pointer in 98 of his final 99 games, including a streak of 68 consecutive games spanning his junior and senior seasons.
