Hoosiers to wear alternate uniforms for Big Ten Tournament #iubb

For the third consecutive season, Adidas is updating Indiana’s postseason wardrobe.

The apparel company introduced its latest collection of “Made In March” uniforms for the 2016 college basketball postseason. IU is one of nine Adidas teams to use the alternate set, though the changes to the Hoosiers’ uniforms are much less radical than the others.

The most notable difference to IU’s set is a thicker line of red trim at the bottom of the home shorts, and a thicker line of white trim at the bottom of the road shorts. There is also a red stripe incorporated along the shoulders of the home jersey and a white stripe along the shoulders of the road jersey.

Per an IU spokesman, the team is scheduled to wear these uniforms throughout next week’s Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It will be the second set of alternate uniforms this year for the Hoosiers, who also wore “Iced Out” white uniforms for their Maui Invitational opener against Wake Forest in November. Since the 2014 Big Ten Tournament, Indiana has won only one of the five games they’ve played wearing alternate uniforms.
