A 3 by Jess Walter cut the deficit to one, but then Nia Coffey misses and an offensive rebound and putback by Jordan Hankins puts Northwestern back up three. A layup by Amanda Cahill is followed by an Ashley Deary 3, settling in behind a screen. A layup by Nia Coffey, driving by Cahill, puts Hoosiers down four, 47-43.

Scary moment in this first half when Tyra Buss went up for a layup, was blocked, and then was under the basket, grimacing in pain. She ended up coming off the floor, holding her left arm. She sat out for maybe a minute, and then came back into the game. She sank two free throws to tie it up with 9 seconds left.
Nia Coffey has been a menace for Northewestern with 19 points, 7 rebounds and three blocks.
Buss leads IU with 10 points, but is 3-of-13 from the floor. Amanda Cahill has nine. The Hoosiers are hitting 35 percent from the field, and 3-of-10 from 3.

IU held a 14-11 advantage, but Northwestern went on a 9-0 run to take an 18-14 lead. Hoosiers tied it back up, but a 3 put the Wildcats back ahead. Hoosiers hitting 35 percent of their shots thus far, 2-of-6 from 3. Northwestern at 50 percent, 6-0 advantage in fastbreak points.
4:56 (1Q): We are tied up 9-all. Northwestern scored the game’s first four points. Hoosiers scored the next four, and with the game tied 6-all, Amanda Cahill spotted up for a 3 to put IU up. Then Nia Coffey answered with a three-point play. Both teams have hit four shots, and Northwestern has 10 opportunities to IU’s nine.
