Tipoff time set for Saturday’s IU-Kentucky game #iubb

DES MOINES, Iowa — The rivalry is back on.

Fifth-seed Indiana and fourth-seeded Kentucky will meet in a second-round showdown Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena. The game will tip off at 5:15 p.m. and will air on CBS.

The border rivals have not faced each other since the Sweet Sixteen in 2012. There is not a single player on either roster who has played in the rivalry, though Max Bielfeldt once saw the Wildcats while he was still a member of Michigan’s program.

“I played them in the elite eight (in 2014) and lost when Aaron Harrison hit that shot,” Bielfeldt said after IU beat Chattanooga on Thursday night. “Would’ve been two final fours in a row, which would’ve been nice, but he had other plans. They’re a talented bunch, and if we get the opportunity, we just have to play the best possible game.”
