Zeisloft says goodbye to IU fans #iubb

Here’s a note from Nick Zeisloft, who took to his Instagram account on Thursday to thank Indiana fans for their support during the last two seasons.

His full and unedited message follows:

“After reflecting on this season and my college career, I can’t thank God, my parents and coaches enough for the opportunities they gave me and my teammates everyday. It was truly a blessing to be able to compete everyday at the highest level with this group of guys for my senior year! Growing up as a son of an IU alum (my dad), Hoosier basketball was a huge part of my life. It meant everything to me and my family to put the Cream and Crimson jersey on everyday. Tremendous amounts of hard work through thick and thin is the only thing that allowed this dream of mine as a little kid to become a reality.

“I know as a team we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal this year but being able to win a Big Ten Championship outright and having the chance to compete for a National Championship in my senior year at IU is all I could’ve asked for as well. It kills me thinking I couldn’t bring IU Banner #6, but it is very comforting to know that IU is in the best hands possible with the coaching staff and players that are currently here and will be coming in.

“I love everything about Indiana University…the basketball program, the campus, the Kelley School of Business, all the wonderful people I’ve met, and much more. I will never forget my time here and I know it will always be a huge part of my life! Always will be #ForIndiana!”

  1. Nick,

Thanks for your contribution to IU basketball. Glad you enjoyed your experience. I wish you the very best in your life’s journey.

  2. I second that.

While the usual suspects were up in arms when Nicky Buckets was offered a scholarship most of us were more curious than anything. You turned out to be a great Hoosier on many levels.

    Thanks for the memories.
