Troy Williams’ decision “in the next couple of days” #iubb

Indiana junior forward Troy Williams made an appearance on ESPN radio’s 94.1 FM in Virginia Beach, Va., on Saturday morning, telling the High School Sports Talk show that he had not made a decision yet. According to a tweet by host Matthew Hatfield, Williams said he would decide “in the next couple of days.”

The 6-foot-7 Williams averaged 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Hoosiers in the 2015-16 season, earning third team All-Big Ten honors, and is averaging 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds for his IU career. He has scored 1,115 career points, which ranks 40th on the IU all-time list, just two points behind Victor Oladipo.

He is ranked as the No. 83 overall prospect by and No. 81 by

  1. Troy…come back to IU and lead this team as a senior to a national championship. And when the NBA witnesses your growth as a leader and a winner, you just may become a lottery pick in next year’s draft. It’s not worth leaving IU to be a 2nd Rd draft pick and ride the pine. Remember when you said how great it was to win the B1G Championship outright because you had never won anything before? Well..just think how great it will feel to lead IU to the Final Four in Phoenix next year!

  2. I think Troy could definitely benefit returning to IU. He has some serious NBA potential he just needs to polish up some aspects of his game and gain more consistency. Good luck to him no matter what he chooses to do.

  3. I agree. I’m pretty sure he’s only played organized ball since his junior year of high school, so another year at the college would really benefit him. I think a lot of players who leave early get lost in the talent of the NBA. Troy needs to be able to dominate the competition at the collegiate level consistently and develop a better handle.

  4. Is that an attempt to hurt my delicate feelings? Your insults are as lame as saying “Troy has a much higher NBA ceiling than Oladipo.” But thanks for the laugh.

  5. Tom Brady was picked at #199 in the last(sixth) round of the NFL Draft …He had a pretty high ceiling.. Who’s laughing now? Troy Williams has every explosive athletic gift necessary ..I find it far more hilarious to think he’s going to stay undiscovered and unrefined in his skill sets.

  6. I could be wrong, but I believe Higgi misunderstood this comment:

Don Quixote de la Mancha continues the inanity.

I believe Higgi thought you were directing that comment at Troy’s “delusions” of entering the Draft….Higgi likely thought you were attacking Troy ….rather than your compulsive disorder and repeated unprovoked attacking of Harvard. It would be easy to see how Higgi misinterpreted your comment as being aimed at Troy…He has likely not followed Scoop closely enough to recognize your habitual and compulsive referencing of one character in Spanish lit… as your choice of insult for yours truly….Only a narcissist of your level would expect his every comment to be precisely understood by a less frequent contributor as to its inside level of snide. Higgi said he’d “hate to be your kid” because he thought you were insulting Troy…..If you could only stop drowning in your narcissism, you’d be able to decipher things a bit better….But don’t hold me to such a promise..My confidence is pretty low for such a grand apologist of a clown.
