IU to host Michigan State under the lights #iufb

Indiana will play at least one game under the lights in Bloomington this fall.

The Big Ten Network announced Monday that IU will host Michigan State in primetime on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The Hoosiers received good television exposure last season, with games against Ohio State, Michigan State and Michigan all carried nationally on ABC. The Hoosiers loss to then-No. 1 Ohio State was the 10th-most watched game of the season overall.

IU’s 2016 season opener at Florida International on Sept. 1 is also expected to kick off in the evening, though a time has not yet been announced.

  1. This is one of the games I have considered going to this year as I can only attend one game [if any]. The last night game I saw was Michigan and it was a great atmosphere which I would think MSU game will be. Now that I don’t have my mother’s place [she died this past month] to stay after the game it will have to factor into my decision. 8 PM is a late game and not one I could drive back home after. I will have to look after some other games to see if they fit in better for me. I was looking at the MSU game as a measure of where IUFB stands in 2016.

  2. Fantastic.
Game will be over around midnight, but the Big 10 Network will be happy, I guess.
