IU men’s basketball announces 2016-17 conference foes

The Indiana University men’s basketball team revealed its opponents for the 2016-17 Big Ten season on Monday.

The Hoosiers, who went 15-3 en route to the regular-season conference championship last season, will play home and home games with five foes this coming year, including in-state rival Purdue. The Hoosiers and Boilermakers played just once in 2015-16. Other double plays are Michigan, Northwestern, Penn State and Wisconsin.

IU will host single games against Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska and Rutgers, while single road games will come at Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota and Ohio State.

Dates, times and television assignments will be announced at a later date.

  1. Much, much tougher than last season…and the sort of inviting conference challenges befitting a program with the lore that is Indiana Hoosier Basketball.

  2. Nice opportunity for Dipo going to Thunder….Nice opportunity to prove his worth on a team with some true superstar talent…Then again, there is speculation that KD is going to make a move(possibly NY Knicks) which could leave OKC the next Orlando…..

Nonetheless, much better limelight for Oladipo playing in the West.
