Dan Feeney is beginning his senior year exactly how he left off as a junior.
With an ESPN All-American selection.
Feeney earned the preseason nod from the network on Monday, adding to his list of recent honors. The Indiana right guard was also named a preseason All-American by Athlon Sports, while the Football Writers Association of American included Feeney on its watch list for the Outland Trophy, which goes to the nation’s top interior lineman.
“An ESPN.com first team All-American in 2015, Feeney has allowed only one sack in his career and has helped pave the way for a 2,000-yard rusher in 2014 (Tevin Coleman) and one of the nation’s top all-around offenses in 2015,” ESPN’s Brian Bennett wrote.
Feeney is one of six players from the Big Ten to make ESPN’s list, joining Michigan tight end Jake Butt, Ohio State center Pat Elflein, Buckeyes linebacker Raekwon McMillan, Michigan State defensive tackle Malik McDowell and Iowa corner Desmond King.
Well deserved honor and recognition for this great Hoosier. I pray he stays healthy, departs IU after contributing to a winning season and gets drafted in the first two rounds next April.
Nice little update on Sudfeld’s last game. Looks like the Redskins are giving him plenty of opportunities to prove himself. Hopefully he will make the final roster…

Great young man. Hope he makes it in a system that will allow him to develop.
Senior 5* QB Gunner Kiel, our old friend, has lost his starter job for the Bearcats.
HC, that’s interesting news, but not a surprise. Gunner has all the physical tools, but maybe not the mental toughness required to be a successful D-1 college QB. Any reasons given for his “demotion”?
Isn’t Kiel about thirty years old by now?
Yup……and Crean is only 98 years young as our basketball sea turtle.. Turtle Rising.
