1. Jeremy, just wondering why there is no article about the Penn St-IU women’s game results from last night? This has happened 2 or 3 times over the last 3 years, no women’s game article when they play on the road? As the women continue to fight for respect, this is what they get, makes no sense?

    1. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Just because a post does not appear on this blog doesn’t mean the women were ignored. We still had an article in the paper and on the official H-T web site. On a night where Mike is covering football, I’m on men’s basketball and Jon is doing high school basketball, with the women on the road, we just didn’t get anything posted here.

  2. Yes, had to go to the Penn St site to read a break-down on the game and they had an excellent one at that site, including an in depth box score. Of the 3 games of IU last night its the women who should be recognized instead they get nothing.

  3. Jeremy….. There is no excuse for not including the IU women’s basketball B1G opener on the Hoosier Sports Report. The fact that they blew out Penn State (who beat a ranked Tennessee team) on their home floor is beside the point. It’s nice that you covered the exhibition football game and men’s basketball (with their 134 RPI ranking) in great depth.
The women’s basketball program is on the verge of national prominence and relevance. Something special is happening that doesn’t come around very often. It would be a shame if you missed it.

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition football game last night and can’t wait till Spring practice let alone the regular season in 2017. Non mens BB not so much.

  5. I agree with scwartzie and Steve W that apparently it is more important for Jon to cover high school basketball than to cover a women’s team craving national respect, curious? I thought that basically, The hoosiersportsreport covered college sports at IU?

    1. MikeC,
Yes, it is. People pay actual money for our high school coverage to appear in the paper and online, and even for our women’s basketball coverage. The fact we missed a post on a free blog is, while not ideal, actually understandable. But blast away if you must.

  6. Sorry Jeremy, I was not aware that you guys cover high school sports because I never see it on this website? As you know, I live in Kokomo and I simply have never seen your high school coverage. When you mentioned that Jon was covering high school games, it took me by surprise. I don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes, I am simply very passionate about our women’s program. as you know. I hope you don’t take any of this personal. I really do appreciate the coverage that you do supply.
