2018 recruits prepared to sign with IU this week

Indiana’s 2018 recruiting class will be officially welcomed into the Hoosier basketball family this week.

Wednesday marks the beginning of the early signing period, and IU’s current verbal commits have set their plans to sign.

Four-star wing Damezi Anderson expects to sign his National Letter of Intent with Indiana on Wednesday morning, South Bend Riley coach Eric Brand said.

Four-star forward Jerome Hunter of Pickerington North (Ohio) and three-star forward Jake Forrester of Westtown School (Pennsylvania) each plan to sign after school Wednesday. Hunter’s high school coach, Jason Bates, and Forrester’s father, Dwight, confirmed the players’ plans to The Herald-Times.

Four-star McCutcheon point guard Robert Phinisee told The Herald-Times he will sign on Thursday afternoon.

The early signing period runs Wednesday through Nov. 15, followed by the regular signing period that runs April 11 through May 16, 2018.
