4 Big Ten teams included in preseason AP poll

Four Big Ten teams are included in the Associated Press preseason poll released Wednesday afternoon.

Following top-ranked Duke, Michigan State is ranked No. 2 to start the season. Minnesota, making its first AP preseason poll appearance in eight years, begins the campaign at No. 15. Northwestern makes its preseason poll debut at No. 19 and Purdue rounds out the Big Ten’s showing at No. 20.

Wisconsin, Maryland and Michigan also received votes.

In addition to the No. 1 Blue Devils, who will visit Bloomington on Nov. 29, three other Indiana non-conference opponents are also ranked, including No. 14 Notre Dame, No. 16 Louisville and No. 23 Seton Hall.
