Palazzolo named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

Indiana men’s soccer redshirt sophomore A.J. Palazzolo was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Palazzolo scored his first collegiate goal on Sunday against then-No. 3 North Carolina, delivering the game-winner in the 88th minute of a 1-0 victory over the Tar Heels.

The St. Louis native redshirted last season after recording two assists in 10 matches as a freshman in 2016. Palazzolo is the first IU player to earn the honor since Austin Panchot on Oct. 3, 2017.

No. 6 Indiana plays its home opener Friday night at 8 o’clock against No. 22 Dartmouth at Armstrong Stadium.
