Benefit to be held this week for IU manager battling cancer

A fundraising benefit for IU football manager Matt Stauder will take place on Thursday evening in Bloomington.

All proceeds from the event, which will include food from Wagon Wheel and entertainment from local musician Reese Phillips, will go toward Stauder’s medical expenses. Stauder, a senior, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma this spring and has been undergoing cancer treatments since May.

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday in the parking lot of Smith’s Shoe Center and Wagon Wheel Custom Meats at 1915 S Walnut street.
