Gameday central: Marquette vs. Indiana

Indiana is back in the Gavitt Games this season, hosting Marquette at 8:30 p.m. at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Indiana will be short-handed against the Golden Eagles, losing both Zach McRoberts (back) and Devonte Green (thigh). Neither McRoberts nor Green participated in pregame warmups. The same goes for Jerome Hunter (lower leg) and Race Thompson (concussion).

Given the lack of available guards, Juwan Morgan could see more minutes on the wing with IU playing bigger lineups at times.

IU and Marquette last met in the Great Alaska Shootout in November 2001. The Golden Eagles won, 50-49.

This is Marquette’s first game in Bloomington since the 1985 postseason NIT. Indiana won that game 94-82 in double overtime.

  1. When was the last time IU started second half on a positive note, especially in a real game ? First dunk I ever saw was Big O playing Martinsville high school game.
