Hoosiers drop to No. 25 in AP poll

A loss at Maryland sent Indiana tumbling in the top 25.

The Hoosiers dropped three spots to No. 25 in the latest Associated Press poll released Monday afternoon. Friday’s game against the Terps was the only contest of the week for IU, which has now dropped two in a row.

Indiana is one of five Big Ten teams ranked this week, including No. 2 Michigan and No. 6 Michigan State. Maryland went from unranked to No. 19 and Iowa remained at No. 23. Nebraska, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Minnesota are among the conference teams receiving votes.

Indiana is also slotted at 21st in the NET rankings and rated No. 25 at KenPom.com.

The Hoosiers have two games this week, beginning with Monday’s 6:30 tipoff against Nebraska. IU travels to Purdue on Saturday at 2 p.m.
