Hoosiers climb in national rankings

A 3-1 week on the diamond boosted Indiana in the national rankings.

The Hoosiers jumped three spots to No. 22 in the latest Baseball America College Top 25, the publication revealed Monday. Indiana won a weekend series against Minnesota at Bart Kaufman Field, and also defeated Ball State in a midweek contest at Victory Field in Indianapolis.

IU also moved up in the D1Baseball.com rankings, going from No. 23 to No. 19. Perfect game also boosted the Hoosiers from No. 24 to No. 19.

Indiana will not play a midweek game this week due to final exams. The Hoosiers return to action on Friday for the first of a three-game series at Illinois.
