Hoosiers will play Gannon in exhibition

Indiana men’s basketball will play one public exhibition game, and it will come against Gannon at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Gannon is a Division II school. IU holds a perfect 26-0 record versus non-Division I schools in exhibition play, dating back to 2004-05. None of those 26 games were against Gannon.

Ben Steele of the Journal Sentinel previously reported that IU would play Marquette in a secret scrimmage on Oct. 20.

  1. Things just keep getting more weird in IU men’s basketball. IU Weidos. Got enough weakness in schedule. The pre conference schedule is all weak and boring.

  2. I get it. I am critical of the pre season schedule without any top more close to elite games. All those boring in excitement home games…those games. I sure don’t want to hear how good Louisiana Tech, Portland, and South Dakota State are. Having said that it is an opportunity for IU young players to gain their footing of false hopes. It also speaks to the current reality of IU men’s basketball….2019-2020… where does it go up or down?
