Patberg on Wooden Award Midseason List

The Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 women’s basketball watch list was announced on Thursday, and Indiana redshirt junior Ali Patberg was among those players selected.

Patberg has helped the No. 12 Hoosiers to a 13-2 start, including 3-0 in the Big Ten, and is averaging a team-high 13.1 points to go with 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. The Columbus native is shooting 53.7 percent from the floor and 41.2 percent from 3 while starting all 15 games.

Players on the list are considered strong candidates for the award given annually to the Women’s Player of the Year. A late season list will also be announced ahead of a final national ballot of 15 players.

  1. It is a great honor just to be named to the top 25 on the Wooden Award, regardless of how she ultimately finishes.
