Dunham named B1G baseball POTW

For the second week in a row, Indiana has the Big Ten’s baseball player of the week.

This time it’s junior Elijah Dunham, who collected a pair of three-hit games, and blasted a three-run homer in the other, during three wins for the Hoosiers in Mobile, Ala.

Last week, sophomore Grant Richardson received the same conference honor. Just as Richardson helped the Hoosiers pull out a win at No. 11 LSU, Dunham helped them keep their momentum in Mobile.

In wins over UT Martin, No. 30 South Alabama, and Siena, Dunham was a combined 7-of-11 (.636), collecting a homer, two doubles, three runs batted in, four runs scored, and four walks.

IU (4-2) returns to Bloomington for its first home game Wednesday, facing Butler at Bart Kaufman Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
