IU to play Florida State in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Report from Zach Osterman at the Indy Star:

For the second time in as many seasons, IU will face Florida State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The Hoosiers defeated a ranked FSU team in Bloomington last year, Indiana’s 80-64 victory one of the highlights of the truncated season. Now, coach Archie Miller’s team will head back in the other direction, with the game scheduled to be played in Tallahassee.

Dates for the annual intraconference series have yet to be announced, though the highly anticipated slate is typically scheduled for early December.

Thursday’s announcement is further evidence that, while recent changes and cancellations have introduced new scheduling headaches for college basketball programs across the country, there remains an appetite for a schedule that includes nonconference games this winter.

Earlier in the month, Miller confirmed a Crossroads Classic matchup with Butler was still expected to be played.
