Campbell B1G special teams player of the week

Indiana kicker Charles Campbell has been named the Big Ten’s special teams player of the week.

Campbell hit all three of his field goal attempts in a 37-21 win at Rutgers. He is a perfect 5-of-5 on the season, ahead of Iowa’s Keith Duncan (4-of-4) for the most field goals in the Big Ten.

This is the second week in a row the Hoosiers have had a player of the week. Junior safety Jamar Johnson was a co-defensive player of the week for his 10-tackle performance versus Penn State, which also included an interception and a forced fumble.

IU last had a special teams player of the week on Sept. 2, 2019, when kicker Logan Justus took the honor.

  1. An excellent recruit who has earned his scholarship, just like our long snapper! Coach Allen thinks about the total program! I love that!
